Dear Mr. Korman,

We are 5th grade students from Harrison Street School and we LOVED your book Restart. We enjoyed hearing the multiple perspectives of the characters. We adored the suspense and the foreshadowing (the mention of the medal in the beginning and the painting) that you put into the story.
Our favorite characters were, Shoshanna, Chase, Brendan, Joel, Mr. Solway and Bear. Shoshanna cared so deeply about her brother and was so strongly opinionated and said exactly what she felt. We loved how Chase was so conflicted about his past and evolved to be a better person by the end of the book. Mr. Solway’s snappy, sassy attitude towards everyone including Chase made us laugh and made us aware of what the war could do to people. We could really sense the friendship between Chase and the old man. We felt the relationships between the characters were stormy and dramatic, yet real. We thought everything in the book could really happen.
We would love for you to make this book into a movie and or a sequel to this suspenseful novel (novel title ideas: Second Chance, The Second Chase, Back and Better than Ever, or Second Time Around. We would like to see this happen before we get too old. 😊
