Hi, Beginning Author,
Thanks for posting and for all the nice things you said about my books.
About your own book: The most important FIRST THING is to outline the whole project from start to finish. NEVER write a word until your story is perfectly planned first. You can’t say anything properly unless you know exactly what it is that you’re trying to say. You can only do that if you plan it out first and know the ending that you’re working towards. I can’t tell you what to write. I can only tell you what worked for me over the years. Pre-planning is everything. Also, you’re a beginner, so be patient with yourself. If you write something that you hate, tear it up and start over. Or re-work it until you stop hating it. And remember: the most important thing in an autobiography that is going to talk about tough times is honesty. Tell it like it really was, and your reader will believe you.
And keep me posted on your progress, OK? Good luck! (And next time sign your name!)
