Good morning!

I am also seeking permissions to read aloud to my class. We were reading the Island series and we had just started Book 2: Survival when our schools closed. My class would love to continue reading this book and Book 3 if possible. I have this from my school district:

This request is sent to you as the copyright owner of the book, Island Book 2: Survival and Island Book 3: Escape  by Gordon Korman. Edmonton Public Schools is seeking written permission until June 30, 2020 for its teachers to read aloud, record and distribute recordings of this book to students and families/guardians/caregivers in their class and across the school division, for the purpose of supporting student learning in alternative delivery models during this unprecedented time of pandemic. Where applicable, we are seeking also that you allow, on this temporary basis, a waiver of licence fees related to the reading of all or part of select books and posting of the video recording online.These recordings will be stored internally within the school division’s secure platforms, and will not be shared beyond the division’s staff, students, families/guardians/caregivers.
