To Shirali Ruparelia & Students:

Thanks for posting. I’ll try to answer all your RESTART questions.

1. The idea for RESTART came from the same place all my ideas come from — plain old hard work and a lot of thinking and plotting. No big mystery; it’s just work. And it happens to be MY work — I write for a living!

2. I know a lot of other authors — Rick Riordan, Peter Lerangis, and many more. We all get along very well.

3. Writing books is work — sometimes very hard work! But it’s my chosen profession, and …

4. … yes, I like it! I wouldn’t want to be doing anything else.

5. Favorite RESTART character? Brendan Espinoza! Every book needs some comedy relief, and he’s it! And he also adds to the story by showing how much Chase has changed from the person he used to be.

OK? I hope that’s everything. If there’s more, you know where to find me — right here! Thanks again for your interest in me and my work.
