Hi, Caleb,

Thanks for posting. Yes, you’re coming though perfectly. I’m pleased to hear that MASTERMINDS made such a big hit with you. I doubt you’ve really read all of my books — check out THE BOOKS section of this website. I’ve just released WAR STORIES, and I believe it’s number 97!

The only person I’ve ever collaborated with is my Mom, on two poetry books: THE D-minus POEMS OF JEREMY BLOOM and THE LAST-PLACE SPORTS POEMS OF JEREMY BLOOM. They’re pretty old, so they’d be hard to find except maybe in libraries. And, of course, THE 39 CLUES was a kind of collaboration, even though each author wrote his or her own book. As a matter of fact, Jude Watson was one of the multi-authors writing that series. I know her well.

Otherwise, I don’t write “in committee.” I find writing novels is a solitary business, and I prefer that what I publish under my own name is mine alone. Writing is also a very personal business.

Thanks again, Caleb. Keep reading!                                                 —–Gordon Korman—–
