Hi, Landon,
Thanks for posting. You didn’t say so, but I’m guessing you enjoyed reading SCHOOLED. I’m glad to hear it.
I always meant SCHOOLED to stand on its own. A sequel might be fun, but it would be very different. Cap has been out in the world and learned a lot, so he’s no longer the completely-innocent-as-a-newborn-baby person that he was in the original story. So that element — Cap discovering the real world — would be missing from a sequel. And that’s basically why I never attempted it. I didn’t want to spoil SCHOOLED, which is so popular, with a sequel that might not match up.
So I won’t say never. but right now I have no plans for SCHOOLED 2. Sorry. But there are a lot of great books on my long list. Just check out THE BOOKS section of this website and take your pick.
Thanks again for your comments, Landon. —–Gordon Korman—–
