Hi, Matilda,

Thanks for your letter and comments about my work.  As I told someone else in the class, I wrote the first Macdonald Hall book for an English assignment when I was in 7th Grade. It became a bestseller, which is a very big deal, especially for a 12-year-old author! So I wrote the second one to see if I could do it again, and the third to see if it was a career. That was over 40 years ago. Next year, in the Fall of 2022, my 100th book will be coming out. Watch for it! It’s called THE FORT!
