Thanks for responding!  I just finished Linked, your second newest book, and I wanted to do something similar with my school and thought maybe I could get everyone to create one paper slip, with a symbol of hope, or change, to combat the power of the swastika, as well as the name of one person that currently holds political power and is working towards a change or someone who formerly held political power and achieved change during their term. I thought this was a good idea because Aledo is in dire need of change, but I don’t know how to get the ball rolling. Students at my school have used racial slurs in front of me and glorified the confederacy, and I’ve always reported that racist behavior, and I think that maybe this project would help my peers understand the oppression of so many minority groups. I just don’t know how to start on the project. Another issue is that while Aledo ISD is actually a generally financially well-off town, most of the school’s funding goes to sports, a result of our champion football team. We have about 6,400 students in the district, so if each one made one link we could bring so much change to the world. Any tips? Thanks for all the great reads!
