Thanks for posting. I’m glad to hear that you enjoy my books so much.

The idea(s) for MASTERMINDS came up slowly. The basic idea was cloning. The DNA donors being master criminals came next, and morphed into a major off-the-books experiment with nature vs. nurture. As for your concept of a deeper meaning, it doesn’t sound familiar to me, but I can see how you extrapolate that from the story.

My theme? That the nature vs. nurture question has not yet been answered, and may not ever reach a conclusion.
