Thanks for your letter. Yes, I know all about the Orthodox, but I had to come up with a kid raised very differently in the mountains of Colorado, and decided that making him cross all the t’s and dot the i’s might be too much for the reader to accept. So it may have been a formality of a bar mitzvah, but it was a bar mitzvah nevertheless!

I’m glad you enjoy my stories so much. My ideas come from plain old hard work and a lot of thinking and plotting. No big mystery; it’s just work.
