And @Shaleen completes the hat trick. J (But I think your chapter number is off.)
“Change of scenery” is a great way to describe this chapter with almost exclusively two characters who have been sort of secondary so far. It hadn’t really occurred to me how closely their life’s challenges are, that’s a smart observation.
Oh, and “outrageous” is the perfect word for so many of the funniest antics in these stories.

@Jade—You’ve got good instincts on how authors sometimes can make characters too saintly or pious (and GRK doesn’t fall into that trap… even his most prim-and-proper kids have a mischievous side). You’ve shared before that you are working on your own novel(s)—I have no doubt your characters are well-rounded and believable.

@Asher—Come back!

Looking at Chapter 16 (Arabella):
> Keith Darrowick, chauffeur extraordinaire, is an underrated character.
> With that bike flat, Nate sure could use a tire gauge. (He’s probably too young for a night on the town with a genuine New York City model, though.)
> I’d be okay with a “1 to 23” rating scale. So far, Slugfest is easily in “twenties” range. I suspect this one will appeal to several old-school fans who love GRK’s earliest stuff best.
> My guess is Arabella is more on-track on the Nitro Nate investigation than on the Coach Finnerty one. The flat tire ruse was clever ethically wrong, but her questioning was spot-on.
