@Jade—Well said on how much the competitive spirit and the excitement of the game shine through in these “7-on-7 tournament” chapters. You don’t have to be a football fanatic or even a sports fan at all to feel the emotions of the players as they battle for their pride and hope for a win. And I’m going to admit: I wasn’t sure this time the slugs would win. I really, truly thought it could go either way, right up until Nate took the mic.

And for the final perspective, here’s Chapter 29 (Cleo):
> It’s not just that Yash devotes time and energy to something beyond his own sports pursuits, it’s that Cleo recognizes and appreciates that effort. Warm fuzzies!
> The ASPCA complaint! 😲 And nice to have Principal Carmichael appear in the closing chapter after his prominence at the start of the whole summer school fiasco. He closes the loop on the Slugfest/P-E-E story.
> So, Yash got a B-plus. I wonder if he was docked for handwriting.
> Andromedon: Cleo and Yash are both class acts.
> Having had a little more time to see the full consequence of both flag football and the Olympics in Slugfest, and knowing it was written before flag football was announced as the latest Olympics addition, I am now even more certain this book needs to be the official book of The Games (whose goal, after all, is for nations to come together with sports “turning us all into friends”).

I’m going to hold a few thoughts on the overall book until others have concluded their chapter-by-chapter comments. I’m really looking forward to @Shaleen, @Jade, @Asher, and @Others’ thoughts on what I think is going to be one of GRK’s most popular books.
