Thanks for posting and for basing your project on SLACKER. Have you read the sequel, LEVEL 13? Laughs guaranteed!

Your questions: I grew up in a suburb of Montreal called Cote St.-Luc. The setting for SLACKER wasn’t really based on that area, though. SLACKER was set, as I recall, in a smaller town. The characters are fictional, which doesn’t mean there can’t be bits and pieces of people I know, or even myself in there somewhere. But they’re basically made up people. And the idea for the book came from the same place I get all my ideas — good old hard work and a lot of thinking and planning. No big mystery; it’s just work.
