@Raymond Ah, locker scenes. Just locker scenes. I agree that the description of the Casa de Ancianos was good! I could imagine it too. Oh, and “Dumbledora” made me laugh out loud! Gord makes it hard not to like these boys, all until they start acting like jerks. And yeah, Mr. Solway was quite funny! That’s what made me start liking him, and I think the “hurt people hurt people” is very true. He might be trying to protect himself from others! He’s quite a bit scary. 

You’re very good for checking on the deep-side of things! These “interconnections and callbacks” are awesome, especially when you bring them to light and what they mean for the story. Unfortunately, I haven’t read any of those books so I don’t really get it, but I think it’s cool anyways. May have to ask my friend about it!

Chapter 10:

Okay, Kimberly! New girl, is she important? Cool! When I’m first introduced to her, I already like her. I like pep rallies too! I like her school spirit, and I like her crush on Chase. However, I don’t like her crush on the old Chase. She knows he was a bully, right? Thing is about Kimberly is that I don’t know what kind of Kimberly she is. Is she the popular one, like Kim Kardashian? Or is she like, a nerd? I don’t know where she fits in. I see that she laughs at Brendan’s clumsiness… hm. Negative points for Kimberly. 

Ah, the football boys playing with thousand-dollar equiment. Perfect. Beautiful. Tragic. Annoying. I’m glad they got that to stop! But… the “we” the video club and “you” the team comment was pretty ostracizing. It’s showing where the new Chase’s identity lies. Ruh roh. I’m glad nobody got in a fight, but Shoshanna’s back at it again, getting on my nerves with her loud, angry comments. Like, girl! Be quiet! We get it, you hate him! But that’s old news. I like Kimberly’s comment about how the stuff seems innocent until people go too far and torture a poor kid like Joel. Great point. Ooh, Chase not knowing about Joel? Classic. Imagine if Joel had been there, he’d be so mad! (Torture me my whole middle school years and you can’t even remember that I exist?) Classic old Chase. But just sad, now.

Ugh, this ending! “Kimmy”? Girl, please. Chase is so susceptible! And her wanting to join the video club ASAP? Yeah, that’s funny.

Overall, I liked this chapter. Short, sweet, and interesting! Got a snippet of our man Brendan too, so I enjoyed that. Great work. Can’t wait to see what y’all think!
