Hey, everyone: Don’t forget previous days’ questions are fair game. I’m posting a new discussion prompt but you can still respond to earlier ones, including @J.R.’s fun one yesterday about El Capitan.

5. Let’s talk about the book’s appearance.
When you first saw the book cover, what did you think it would be about? Did you know what the cover illustration was? How did the book’s appearance influence your perception of the story before reading it? If you could have designed the cover illustration, what would you have chosen? Did you find anything interesting while reading beyond the story (like the author bio or dedication)? What else did you notice about the physical book that’s worth mentioning?

(All those questions are just meant to inspire some ideas. Don’t think you need to respond to each one, just pick one or a few that you find interesting!)

I’ll come back later to give my own response!
