Responding to: 9. Would you rather be a rich person living 16 different lives or a normal person living one?

Having had quite a few years living the life of a normal person, I see some fascination in the idea of living multiple different lives. Being rich in those lives would probably make the transitions easier, but would be less important than having a richness of experiences.

But to take into account @Jade’s excellent arguments: My answer presupposes a life without the burdens or joys of children. While I could conceive of a life spent jumping from one situation to the next, it would not be fair to inflict that on kids. If Junior wanted that lifestyle, he could have had it–alone, or possibly with an agreeable partner. But when he became a father, he set himself on a different path, and it was unfair to drag his son and daughter along with him on a life’s journey that robbed them of a sense of roots and permanence.
