Hi, Shlomo,

Thanks for posting and for your tremendous support for my books. I appreciate it very much.

Your questions: Why do I do crossovers? For the real fans, like you, the ones who are going to notice it and comment on it. The person who reads 1 or 2 books would never catch it, but people like you — it’s just to tickle you.

Movies. There have been several. Aircraft pictures did 3 Macdonald Hall movies; Disney did several shows on THE MONDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL CLUB, and Nickelodeon did a version of SWINDLE Book 1. How hard could it be to get someone to make a movie? Very hard. I mean VERY. Even the most economical movies cost millions to cast, script, make, and distribute. So I agree that a book like LOSING JOE’S PLACE would make a great movie. (Can you see Tyrus as Rootbeer Racinette?) But it would cost plenty.

And the older books are hard to find because that’s what happens to older books. THIS CAN’T BE HAPPENING AT MACDONALD HALL, the first one, is pushing for its 50th anniversary! I’ve written over 100 books since then, and a lot of them are still in print. But Nickaninny isn’t one of them. Sorry.

OK? If there’s anything else, you know where to find me — right here. Thanks, Shlomo. Keep reading!
