Thank you for posting. I’m pleased to know that my books have been making such a big hit with you. I hope you’ll want to read many more of them. (When OLD SCHOOL comes out in January, there will be 105!)

Your questions: During the Cold War, a lot of people built underground bunkers in expectation of nuclear war. The one I wrote about, however, was fictional. As for the broken bar on the ladder, that’s all it is — a broken bar. I don’t have anything to do with the cover art.

The closest I’m going to be to you is on January 30th, when I’m appearing at Milton Library events. You’d have to check with the Milton Library for where and/or when.
