Hi,

I was “inspired” by a great desire not to fail English in Grade 7. The book started out as an assignment. There are plenty of girls in the Macdonald Hall series. You mean leading characters, right? I guess because I happen to be a guy. And, as you say, sports is a familiar theme with me, and my connection is to boys’ sports. Hockey because I used to love it. And football because I love it now.

OK?                                                                                         —–Gordon Korman—–
