Question about Linked

Hi, I am a retired teacher from school district 96 Kildeer Countryside in Buffalo Grove and Long Grove, Illinois. I’ve seen you speak many times at conferences, Kildeer I may have even had you as an author visit in our district. Besides being a teacher in the district, I was also the librarian at Kildeer Countryside elementary school in Buffalo Grove. I just finished reading Linked, so I can share it with my grandson. I got the book through PJ library which send a free book to my grandson every month.  I was reading Linked and at the end of the story the kids received about 1000 links to complete their 6 million link chain from an. “elementary school in Buffalo Grove, Illinois.”  I wondered why you put that in your book and what was your connection you have to our school district. Love all your books. Keep them coming. Thank you so much Michelle Schumer
