Hi, Sam,

When I was first writing, I was 12, and chose to send my work with a covering letter to a children’s publisher — in my case it was Scholastic Canada. If they like your work, they will purchase it from you, publish it, and pay you a percentage of the sales. That’s how it worked for me. I don’t know any agencies besides my own, which is in New York. You might go to your librarian and ask for a book on writers’ markets. All publishers and agents are listed there. And I’d also deal with your own family, since you are what I used to be — too young to sign contracts!

Good luck, Sam!                                                                                            —–Gordon Korman—–
