A little bit of information if anyone wants to look for used copies of the Bruno and Boots/Macdonald Hall book(s) in French:

Here’s the 1983 Scholastic paperback:

• Bruno et Boots mènent le bal | ISBN 0-590-71182-2 (9780590711821)

When the series was celebrating its 25^th anniversary in 2003, Scholastic issued French translations of the first three books. Boots became “Max” in these translations(!). Here they are:

• Collège Macdonald: Deux farceurs au collège | ISBN 0-439-97437-2 (9780439974370)
• Collège Macdonald: Méfiez-vous du Poisson! | 0-439-96654-X (9780439966542)
• Collège Macdonald: Bruno et Max font des vagues | 0-439-97009-1 (9780439970099)

Sometimes searching for the ISBN is more successful than querying by title. Even looking for used books, you may have to keep searching. Eventually, copies will show up!
