Hi, Mrs. Shen & Mrs. Catlett & Students,
Thanks for posting. I’ll try to answer all your questions.
Shey, I think it’s very likely that Naomi and Cap might get together.
Tommy & Logan, I don’t plan a sequel to SCHOOLED. Cap can never be the innocent kid he was at the beginning of SCHOOLED. The book really does stand alone very well.
Alyssa, I’m pretty sure Mr. Kasigi will come to understand the circumstances regarding Cap, and forgive him for doing what he did with the money. After all, he thought he was doing good deeds, and didn’t understand about the use of money.
Amelia and Corey, most authors don’t require what you call “inspiration.” We write because we have something to say, a story to tell. That’s just about all it takes to start us scribbling.
Jeremiah, at the moment, no. And that’s a shame, because it would make an amazing movie, I think.
Corey, if they made a movie, there’s a young Canadian actor named Callan Potter who played Boots in the movie of my book GO JUMP IN THE POOL — he’s make an amazing Cap Anderson.
Edward, no SCHOOLED is a novel, and that’s it. No play.
Grace, I’ve been to West Virginia, but I’ve never done any school visits there. It’s a beautiful state, especially along Highway 19 through the mountains.
OK? I hope that covers what you wanted to know, people. If there’s anything else, you now know how to reach me — right here.
Best regards,
