Hi, Morgan,
Thanks for posting. I’m glad you enjoyed MASTERMINDS. I’ll try to deal with all your questions.
The time period is probably no more than 3 months — a long summer. It’s a good question, asking about what would happen to the clones when the researchers were done with the project. They did wonder about it, but never actually faced the fact that they might very well have been killed. After Tamara Dunleavy cut the funding, the money was supplied by C.J. Rackoff — I believe it says so somewhere. And that’s why Rackoff joins with Osiris; he’s one of them, and he also needs to be in hiding because he’s an escapee. Dr. Bruder isn’t trying to recapture anyone — Project Osiris is done. I think he’s probably grown fond of the “son” he raised, and is trying to reconnect with him, and perhaps even comfort him. And yes, as far as I know, PAYBACK is the finale.
What series do I recommend? THE HYPNOTISTS, also 3 books. Or single titles: SLACKER, about a video game-addicted couch potato, who cares about nothing and ends up in the middle of everything. Or UNGIFTED, soon to be followed by a sequel, SUPERGIFTED. And watch for RE-START, coming May 20th.
OK? I hope I’ve covered everything you wanted to know. If there’s anything else, you know where to find me — right here!
Best regards,
