I’m judging Scholastic’s Scope Magazine Write-A-Story contest this year! So you’ve already got an advantage because … well, you know the judge! Seriously, it’s a fantastic contest. I’ve provided three awesome opening lines for stories that haven’t been written yet. Your job is to choose your favorite and write the story. Then I’ll read the […]
Even though I’ve cancelled my birthday for this year due to technical difficulties, sunspots, and lack of interest, thank you for all the warm wishes on my special day (that didn’t actually happen). And here’s my latest school t-shirt, birthday week edition: Tex Hill Middle School in San Antonio TX!
My latest t-shirt is this choice piece of merch from Gilman School, one of three awesome schools that hosted me in Maryland! Great schools, great kids, great trip!
Calling all fans in Vancouver and BC! I’ll be appearing at the Vancouver Writers Festival this Tuesday and Wednesday. It’s one of my favorite events in one of my all-time favorite cities. I can’t wait! Hope to see you there!
Fall is here, and I’ve hit the road again, visiting schools and libraries and meeting my readers on the RESTART/PAYBACK tour. Great times! My latest school shirt comes from a memorable day at Wilbraham Middle School in Wilbraham, MA. Thanks for a fantastic welcome!
The schools of Arkansas have welcomed me so many times over the years. This great shirt is from an even greater school: Kraus Middle, in Clarksville, AR!
This week’s school shirt was presented to me by the cheerleading squad at Middle Township Middle School in beautiful Cape May Courthouse NJ – which is a wonderful place to visit – except when the bridge is closed for repairs but that’s news to your GPS. Go Panthers!
That’s the motto of Lake Denoon Middle School in Muskego, WI, this week’s school t-shirt (sunglasses not included). They went “above and beyond” to extend this visiting author a warm welcome in sub-zero temperatures!
No, I haven’t run out of school t-shirts yet. This one is from Briarcliff Manor School district in Westchester County, NY, given to me during a visit to the incomparable Todd Elementary!
