Dear Mr. Korman, Your book Restart has truly been a “restart” opportunity for a 6th grade boy in my class. He is student who struggles to sustain his attention for more than a few minutes and as a result, rarely reads a book from start to finish. He literally restarts his reading every 10 minutes. A couple of weeks ago, our classes began an author study of you and a few other authors. He chose to read Restart and has been stuck on chapter 2 for a week. So I read ch. 3 with him and fully expected the next day to restart all over again. Instead Justain came into class the next morning beaming with a mile wide smile and a double high five announcing he had read for an hour the night before because he got sucked into the book and couldn’t put it down. Kudos to you for restarting this young learner’s journey of reading. Sorry about all the restart puns – I couldn’t resist:)

Sincerely,
Lisa Shaw
