Hello, again!
I have another question for you if you don’t mind. I recently wrote a short story for a contest but haven’t yet submitted it. I hesitate to enter because I’m not sure if I’m making a hasty decision that I may regret later. I have entered short story contests before. The only real difference there is that now, looking back on what I entered to those contests, I wouldn’t publish those stories anywhere else. I can do better now than I could then, and would rather use newer pieces for publication, contests, or similar things.
I guess that was a long way to ask this: How do I know if I’m ready to enter the story in the contest? If I win, I won’t be able to use the story for any other contest or post it anywhere else, of course. How can I be sure I won’t regret giving that up?
I understand that you can’t give me a perfect answer and guarantee that I won’t have any regrets, but if you have any advice or help for me in making this decision, I’d be truly grateful.
Sincerely,
Christina.
