Hi again, Jayma,
I got started writing at age 12 in answer to a 7th grade English project to write what our teacher called “a novelette.” I got carried away, and quite accidentally wrote over 100 pages of a story I called “Bruno & Boots.” The book was published as THIS CAN’T BE HAPPENING AT MACDONALD HALL. That was 90 books ago. It went from hobby to profession, and I’ve been writing ever since.
I’ve won a lot of awards for my books, but none of the major ones until recently when MASTERMINDS won the Silver Birch Award in Ontario. Most of my prizes have been from state (and provincial) reading associations. I’m very proud of those, because they represent the votes of hundreds of thousand of my readers. And there’s also the distinction of winding up on the New York Times’ Bestseller List, which has happened to me several times, even at Number One with THE 39 CLUES: ONE FALSE NOTE.
OK? Thanks for your interest.
Regards,
