I envisioned the characters exactly as they turned out — don’t forget I’m a great believer in extensive advance planning. But I have to say that characters often take on a life of their own in the course of a book. Malik turned out to be a much stronger person than I’d planned. And Amber turned out quirkier and more impulsive. You’ll notice that especially in Book #3, coming March 7th, 2017.
