Hi, Max,
Thanks for posting. I’m pleased to hear that you enjoy my books.
Your questions: The main character is always the person who is most involved in the story. In the case of NO MORE DEAD DOGS, that’s Wallace Wallace. As for the descriptive paragraphs, I’m not sure how I come up with them. I always add just enough description to make sure the reader can visualize my characters and their setting.
Re: writing non-fiction. I’ve written historical fiction — the 3 TITANIC books. But I’ve never done pure non-fiction. My advice is to stick to the facts, but add your own thoughts and impressions. It will take a lot of research, I’m sure.
As for a sequel to SCHOOLED, I have no plans to do one. Cap Anderson’s basic charm is his complete innocence — he’s almost like a newborn infant. Now that he’s been exposed to the real world, he can never be that innocent again. So an important part of the first book has been lost. I don’t think a sequel will come out the way I want it to, so I’ve moved on.
OK? Thanks again for writing, Max. I appreciate your interest in me and my work, and I hope you’ll check THE BOOKS section of this website and have a look at some of the 90 titles on my list!
Best regards,
