My name is Alejandra Casiano. I am a third grade, bilingual teacher in the Gadsden Independent School District, in Anthony, NM. As a bilingual teacher, Spanish resources are very limited. I am confident that the books your company publishes are an asset for teaching the necessary standards, but the problem that my colleagues and I have encountered are that the titles of books you have available are rarely in Spanish. For example, I may find an awesome picture book, that your company has published, that is necessary to teach certain curricular standards, but I can’t use them because my students need to receive instruction in Spanish. In my area of the country, we have an overwhelming number of bilingual students in our schools. The need for Spanish and/or bilingual books is tremendous.

I’m writing to you because I would like to offer my translation services to your company. I am confident that this will provide your company with an increase in sales, especially from the educational sector. By providing more resources in Spanish, this will prove to be beneficial to my students, and students like them, across the country and possibly around the world. Being that my first language is Spanish, I would like to provide you a sample of my work by translating any of your published work. I think this would be a good way to show you the correct academic, Spanish language that is necessary for testing and teaching on a daily basis.
