Sorry, Tom — I thought you were creating an allegory, and I was joking. It’s an excellent and well-thought-out story, but not for me. It’s super-serious and full of angst, which I don’t think I could comfortably and believably maintain for a whole book. But here’s a thought. You’re an excellent writer.
