For one thing, I don’t know what kind of advice is in the article you read yesterday. I guess it might depend on where you got the article. If it’s from a respected source, then the advice is probably sound. It might be a pretty good idea to find an upperclassman who has written one, and see how his/hers reads. My best advice, though, is to write it your way,using your best judgement, and getting in all the things you want to tell about yourself. At this stage, on the verge of college, I think you’re the best judge of what to write and how to say what you need to say.
