You question sent me back to the manuscript. There wasn’t much description of the people in that book. Chase’s Mom had long dark hair, and wore dark-rimmed glasses, so I’m assuming Chase was dark too. Also dark were the stepmother, Corinne, and the little half-sister, Helene. Dad was paunchy and had thinning hair. There isn’t much about Bear, but for some reason, Aaron had the nearest thing to a full beard of anyone in their middle school. And old Mr. Solway had a “shock of white hair.”
