Hi, Raymond,
This goes back to the dawn of history! As I remember it, I wrote a proposal for a series about Mad Science, but it wasn’t quite what the editors had in mind. They gave it to someone else to write, and I moved on. I never read the books, but they did have to give me credit for the general idea. (And believe me, the credit was all I got!) The series didn’t make any kind of splash, as far as I know. I never read it, so I really can’t tell you how close it was to my outline, or even how many books were produced. I also have no idea how to lay hands on that outline. I can’t imagine not keeping it, but I honestly don’t know where it might be.
As far as I remember — and I realize my steel trap of a mind hasn’t been very impressive in this note — I’ve had no connection to any other book or series. My work is mine, and I don’t collaborate or provide brainchildren to anyone else. Sorry.
Have I thanked you properly for your amazing support for my work? I appreciate it very much.
