Hi, Landyon,
Good question. I have a lot of favorite authors, but one really stands out:
His name is Kurt Vonnegut, and my favorite book of his is called THE SIRENS OF TITAN. I also really enjoy the Middle Grade and Y/A writers who are my contemporaries, plus an older kids’ book writer named John D.Fitzgerald. His series, THE GREAT BRAIN, was an inspiration to me when I was the right age for those books. And, of course, Joseph Heller’s novel CATCH-22, the first adult novel I ever read and was astonished by! How could I forget that one?
I could probably make the list much longer, but these are the idols that come to mind.
Best regards, —–Gordon Korman—–
