That story (a prequel) is one heck of a grand idea! Congratulations for thinking it up! I get a lot of mail asking for more RESTART, but yours is by far the best one! And the title — REWIND — is really perfect! (Or maybe PRESTART?)

But I’m probably not going to write it. RESTART stands very well on its own, for one thing. Aaron and Bear were obviously the mean ones, I think. And Kimberly is not really terribly interesting except in the way she interacts with Brendan.

But I admit it’s tempting! Your ending — with the fall off the roof — is really masterful! Do you write? You seem to have a knack for drama. So thanks, Meredith & Ms. Kurchian & class, but I think I’ll stick with RESTART as it is. (Having said that, I admit I would never say never!)
