On Wednesday, April 7th we will read chapter 16 together.  We are a 5th-grade class at Lakeshore Public School in Burlington, ON.  One element of writing I am trying to emphasize with them is the importance of brainstorming and organizing writing before they actually write a story.  Any tips you have would be much appreciated.
