Hi, Golbersteins!

Thanks for posting. It’s great to hear from Israel. I’m really pleased to hear that you’ve been reading and enjoying some of my books. I hope you’ll want to read your way through many more of them. Just go to THE BOOKS section of this website and take your pick. Laughs, and even some suspense guaranteed! And 97 titles so far!

Your questions: I don’t really have a favorite among my books and characters, but I’m usually most “into” the newer releases. That means my current “favorite is soon to be WAR STORIES, my very newest. But I have a soft spot in my heart for Malik in MASTERMINDS, because he’s so very human.  THE 39 CLUES was planned by an editorial group, and handed to the chosen authors. I wrote Book #2, and was handed Book #1 to continue from, and told where my Book #2 was to lead so Peter Lerangis could pick up with Book #3. And so on. We did meet during promotion for the book, but worked basically alone, although we were working from the previous author’s book. (Oh, I hope I’ve explained it properly!)  Besides B&B, the U.S. network Nickelodeon did a movie on SWINDLE. And several years back, the Disney Channel did a whole series called “The Jersey” that was based on my series THE MONDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL CLUB. There have been a lot of film companies who purchased the rights to various books, and there are still rights out there in stages of development. But the movie business is pretty “iffy.”

Thanks again to the whole Golberstein family for your support for my work! I will be thinking of all of you for many Shabbat afternoons to come! Shalom.
