The best part of being an author is reading over your daily output and feeling satisfied that your story is coming along well, and you like your characters. The worst part is the same thing — reading over your daily output and being dissatisfied with your progress. Or finding your characters not very interesting. Or deciding that what you’ve said isn’t coming out the way you wanted to say it.

Really, writing is like any other job. If you do it well, you’re pleased with yourself. If you do it less than well, you’re not very happy.                                                     —–Gordon Korman—–
