Hello there – just wanted to thank you for continuing to write attention-grabbing books! I remember the first book of yours I had the pleasure of reading – I Want to Go Home. My 4th grade teacher read it to the class (this was in 1987…). I have over a dozen of your books in our home library, including many of your early books (like This Can’t Be Happening at MacDonald Hall and No Coins, Please – which is probably my favorite of yours) and when I was a classroom teacher, I enjoyed sharing your books with my 5th grade students (they loved the Everest series). My oldest son, now a 4th grader, is a good reader but a reluctant one. He got hooked on the 39 Clues series, and after a recent book slump (He read all the Diary of a Wimpy Kid ones), I ordered every book of yours our library had! He’s loving Slacker and we have the second one for him to read next. He’ll be going on a little road trip with his dad to do some skiing soon and we picked up The Unteachables on CD for them to listen to on the drive. Thank you so much! And as an expat myself, I enjoy your pokes of fun into our neighbors from the North. Keep up the great work. We appreciate all you do for young readers. Stay safe. 🙂
