Hi Gordan!

I have been reading your books for years and had so much fun getting my own kids to read them as they grew up. As a teacher, I have a lot of opportunity to plug books and do so constantly. Schooled recently came up in conversation and I pulled it out to find a certain section I remembered….and ended up reading the whole thing again. I mean, really, that must be the sixth? seventh? time I’ve read it.

Every single time, I adore Capricorn and so admire the courage and tenacity he shows in handling that absolute barrage of new/horrible/distressing situations. The bus takeover scene is amazing fun, with everyone completely in character and responding to all of it so differently. With Cap hunched over the wheel and everyone freaking out around him…so perfect.

I’ve already read your reasoning about why Capricorn’s story shouldn’t have a sequel. And yeah, I get it…but, I still want it! And come on, wouldn’t Cap be a prime go-to guy during a pandemic? 🙂

One really funny thing about rereading Schooled was seeing how much the world has changed since it was published! It doesn’t seem like that long ago, but it’s decades in culture change.

The world is changing faster day by day, right?

Thanks for all the books you’ve gifted to the world.  And on that note, I have to say that I hadn’t realized that the Hypnotists is a series!!??? I’m not sure how I missed that, but I will be getting busy on reading that ASAP!!!

Have a great day!!

Ashley
