Hi, Luke,

Thanks for posting. Wow — getting that assignment is like being asked to research “How high is up?” The basic answer is that I’m a writer, which makes me a storyteller, and the basis of this story is second chances. I found it interesting to see if it would be believable that someone like Chase could be forgiven. The story is my answer to that.

Why did I write it? Most authors don’t really question themselves that way. We write because we have something to say, a story to tell. That’s just about all it takes to set us off.
