Another great question! With an odd answer. I became an author by accident. My 7th grade English project was so interesting to me that I kept on writing and writing until I had 100 pages! My Mom typed it in manuscript form and we sent it to Scholastic, the children’s books publisher. They liked it, published it, and I was on my way! That was 40+ years ago, and I’m just finishing off Book #100, which comes out next year. THE FORT. Watch for it!
