Thanks for doing your report on me. I hope you don’t mind vague answers to highly personal questions.

1. I believe in any culture that preaches kindness, mercy, and decency. Judeo-Christian is a pretty good answer for me.

2. Difficult or challenging: an illness in one of my children, thankfully with a happy and successful ending.
