Hi, Karen. Your email address doesn’t come through to me. You get an answer here, or nowhere, so I hope you’re checking the Forum!   Your new questions:

1. It took about 8 months to write RESTART.

2. I went to NYU, and studied film and screenwriting. I have a Bachelor of Fine Arts from there. Great school!

3. Lots. Japanese, Chinese, French, Swedish, Norwegian, Italian, Spanish… and I’m sure I’m forgetting some.

4. I’d probably be teaching, probably at a high school level, and probably math and/or science.

5. Names are easy. Everybody gets one. I just made them up. They have to be the “right” name for my character, though, and I honestly can’t explain how I know a name like “Chase” is right. I just do. Odd, isn’t it?

6. At first I thought I WAS writing for adults. (I was 12 at the time.) I do some Y/A once in a while, but middle grade is where I like it best.

7. Probably the Harry Potter movies. And the classic is HOME ALONE.
