Glad you enjoyed the SWINDLE books. I’ll try to answer your questions.

1. Melissa has a Greek name (Dukakis) so I guess she’s Mediterranean.

2. I got the idea for SWINDLE from the same place I get all my ideas — from a lot of planning and thinking. I made it up. The main idea was the concept of a team where everyone has a specific talent to pull off some scheme or other.

My first book was called THIS CAN’T BE HAPPENING AT MACDONALD HALL. I wrote it for a 7th grade English assignment. It was published when I was 14, but I wrote it at 12.
