@Jade, that Marshmello video has 2.4 billion (?!?) views—I might have to revisit it after finishing Slugfest as I’m not immediately seeing the connection but I may never look at a s’more the same again.

Now, some thoughts on Chapter 2 (Cleo Marchand):

> “You can take other classes. … Pick something that interests you.” – When I was in high school and an underclassman in college, I had the exact same worldview as Cleo. I would’ve signed up for video game design and investigative journalism.

> I wasn’t sure until the end of the chapter whether Cleo was a girl or a boy.

> Cleo’s comments do a good job of introducing the other P-E-E students. And the line “None of us should be here!” makes it clear this is not an ordinary group of summer school misfits.

> I already know I’m going to be quoting Coach Finnerty at some point.
