My new favorite comment is: Did we all end up the same person because we were raised by the same set of books….  @Shaleen, future generations of will study “Kormanature vs Kormanurture” in their quest to understand human psychological development. (If they ever offer it as a summer school class, sign.me.up.)

@Jade, when I read “Dude!” “Bro!,” I actually heard the words in a different voice than I usually have when I’m reading dialogue. That purposefully deep, slow, intense semi-grunt of a guy greeting.
Oh, and favorite character currently: Kaden. Our resident nerd seems to have a good sense of who he is (pretty impressive for a middle schooler) and he stepped outside his comfort zone to volunteer to help Yash. This is the kind of person we all should try to be.

@Asher, I intensely dislike Nitro Nate… wouldn’t mind seeing him fall into some of that disgracefully lukewarm wax… but if I’m being honest with myself, I wonder: Has he actually done anything (yet?) other than show up and have some QB skills?

Another county heard from—Chapter 10 (Jesse Darrowick):

> I remember reading a review of one of the Macdonald Hall stories and really liking the author’s analysis of the moral centeredness inherent to many of GRK’s characters. The big example was that Bruno and Boots were seemingly unable (and certainly unwilling) to lie to The Fish or other adults. The reviewer pointed out how (1) that moral compass makes the reader feel good about the character/the story/maybe even life and the universe in general, and (2) it allows the story to develop some conflict that might otherwise be resolved by just having the characters lie or cheat to get out of a predicament. So it’s heartening to see: “That’s cheating,” Arabella huffs. “You don’t reform an unfair system by doing something even more shady.”
> A lot happens in Chapter 10. Sure, we get some of Jesse-the-prankster’s perspective about how funny his “jokes” are. But we also learn he’s a bit more worried about rules than you might expect when he’s nervous about the computer hacking. And he expects to need a lawyer one day—ha!—and figures Cleo would represent him well before a jury. And maybe Jesse is a bit jealous of Yash.
> We also find out Kaden and Fiona aren’t messing around with their research on Mrs. Finnerty, and that Arabella has dramatic plans for exposing the big scandal, and that Yash is A-okay with a coverup.
> Plus, there’s going to be a sleepaway camp-style visitor’s event/talent night at summer school, and that changes Yash’s mind about being part of the Andromedon production for some reason.
