@Asher Mate, they’re not disappearing. They’re there. It looks like they’re gone, but they’re most likely there.

Also, took you long enough! I’m surprised you didn’t binge read the whole book when you got your hands on it. Yes, I think it’s my new favorite GK book–maybe. WHATSHISFACE was my favorite before. I’ll have to reread it before I finalize my decision.

Also, it’s 8th grade summer school. Miss Reporter Teacher is probably well aware that none of them are blooming journalists. I don’t know, though. She probably wouldn’t be taking them seriously.

@Shaleen I think the jocks are unrealistic too–but because they’re too nice. At school, the jocks jeer each other all of the time. They’re a lot meaner than the kids in this book. And coming to make fun of their friend and the slugs? Light. They’re honestly kinda nice compared to real life jocks.

Also, I disagree that Yash is nice enough to read it once. If he’s anything like me, he’d probably forget–but also, he’s mad at Cleo. She rejected his deal when he wanted her and he’s gonna be a bit salty about that. And he doesn’t seem to care about the play one bit. So, yeah, seems reasonable to me.

I agree with what you said on Bella!

Also, Gord, can we have a baddie for a mom please? Most of the moms feel the same. “Ah, that’s dangerous! Don’t do it!” “My baby!” But none of them are really baddies. Remember that lady that was so into Mr. Aidact? She was hilarious. Like, she was SO funny.

If this is the chapter where they do the obstacle course, LOL! It was so funny imagining them going across it. Like, so funny. I really liked this chapter. I like how creative it is. But also, one thing: what happens now? I feel like the thing with Arabella was kind of the main plot, and now that Yash’s snuffed her, now what? It kind of felt climactic but it’s not even the middle of the book, I don’t think. I just felt weird about it.

Be blessed,

Jade
